Fuso eCanter Review

Three years after the launch of small-series production the Daimlers all electric light-duty truck the FUSO eCanter more than 200 vehicles have now been produced and they are to be seen on most continents of the world covering eleven countries and cities such as New York, Tokyo, Berlin, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin, Oslo, Copenhagen, Helsinki or Lisbon.

So what’s all the fuss about and does it make sense for urban deliveries ? We not only take a look at the specification in detail we also get to drive it. Basically the Fuso eCanter has a driving range of more than 100 kilometres with a single charge, and is particularly suited for locally zero-emission and quiet inner-city distribution. Perhaps more imprtantly it it virtually the same weight as its diesel equivalent meaning it has an excellent chassis payload of up to 4.15 tons, which is more than sufficient for urban delivery purposes.
